Quick tip of the month

Maintaining a Code of Ethics

The United States Office of Government Ethics (OGE) identifies what private companies are and are not allowed to do for government workers. To reduce compliance risks, you can create a Code of Business Ethics and Conduct. This document should be signed by every employee that you have, so that you can ensure accountability. Additionally, you should hold company-wide meetings to remind employees of government and company regulations. Even if you have a plan like this already in place, it could still benefit you to find out more about ethics, so we encourage you to check out our blog!

beta.SAM.gov transition moves into Q4

The beta.SAM.gov transition began on May 25th with CFDA.gov moving to the site, rendering the legacy website defunct. Several new features accompanied the website’s transition as well. Continued enhancements will go together with the legacy websites throughout the process, including security updates. Soon to follow CFDA.gov in Q4 of FY 2018 will be both FBO.gov as well as WDOL.gov. It will be important to understand that once these sites have been transitioned over to the beta.SAM.gov site, the legacy IP addresses will become obsolete. If you have any questions on the timeline of the transition or how this may affect your GSA contract, feel free to give us a call.
