Critical information
The Pentagon recently announced that there were major changes coming to its Defense Enterprise Office Solutions competition. The Department of Defense (DoD) will be seeking sources under GSA's Schedule 70 rather than bid the opportunity out itself as it had once planned to do. The approximately $8 billion opportunity will be broken down into three phases. The RFI for phase one is due by November 9th, and all interested parties are welcome to read up on the solicitation here.
Emerging business opportunities
  • The Defense Information Systems Agency released a final RFP on October 11, 2018 for a single-award $6.5 billion contract called Global Solutions Management - Operations II (GSM-O II). The anticipated award date is June, 2019. For a deeper dive, take a look at the solicitation on FBO.
  • The RFP response for Asset Forfeiture Administrative Support Services contract is due at the end of this month on November 29, 2018. For more information on this $1.7 billion opportunity, check out the solicitation here.
Frequently asked questions

If my commercial sales practice changes, do I have to inform my GSA Schedule Contracting Officer?

Short answer, yes. You must inform your Contracting Officer (CO) as soon as you know of any changes to your commercial sales practices. The CO should be aware of these changes no later than 15 calendar days following the effective date of the commercial practice updates.

Why does the GSA have the Industrial Funding Fee (IFF)?

The IFF is a fee that is paid by customers to cover the GSA's cost of operating the Federal Supply Schedules program. The GSA collects the 0.75% fee from all GSA Schedule contractor sales in order to remain a self-funded government agency.
