As a government contractor, there are many websites and resources to keep track of and monitor for compliance. If you are interested in becoming a GSA Schedule contractor, you are required to maintain an accurate and up to date account in the System for Award Management (SAM), or SAM.gov. This site not only allows you to search government contract opportunities and award notices but also houses a lot of core data relating to federal contractors’ businesses, including addresses, corporate representations and certifications, banking information, service classifications, and more.

GSA’s rollout of its new catalog management system, the FAS Catalog Platform (FCP), is well underway, with more and more Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contracts being moved to the new platform. While FCP is more user-friendly than its predecessor, the Schedule Input Program (SIP), it still takes some getting used to.

GSA recently announced their plans for Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) Solicitation Refresh #27, which will be released in June 2025. This Refresh includes several changes to the MAS Program including expanding Transactional Data Reporting (TDR) and making it mandatory for some contractors and retiring 10 Special Item Numbers (SINs). GSA will also end the TDR pilot in this Refresh. Since the Solicitation Refreshes apply to all GSA Schedule contractors, it’s important you understand the changes before you accept the Mass Modification (Mod) once it’s released.

The new administration has recently issued Executive Orders and initiatives aimed at increasing both government efficiency and taxpayer savings.
