GSA’s IT Schedule 70 not only boasts the largest amount of awarded contracts with more than 4,700, and the largest amount of dollars procured at $14 billion, but it’s also one of the quickest schedule contracts to be awarded.

In the near future, a possible update to Human Resources and Equal Employment Opportunity Services, formally known as Schedule 738x, will be introducing significant changes to the Special Item Number (SIN) structure and will directly affect several schedule holders on this contract.

Most GSA Schedule contractors are familiar with the Schedule Input Program (SIP), how to download it to their computer from GSA’s Vender Support Center and how to post their awarded GSA pricelist and products or services on GSA Advantage. Knowing this basic information is great, but there is a lot more to SIP than what the average GSA contractor knows, including a plethora of helpful shortcuts that can be vital to its utilization.

After the recent release of a Special Item Number (SIN) for cloud products and services on IT Schedule 70, GSA is now looking to create two more SINs for targeted technologies. Specifically, these SINs will be related to health IT and cybersecurity. GSA also expanded their agreement with the Defense Health Agency (DHA) regarding health IT spending.
