How Do I Report My GSA Schedule Sales?

By: Julien Cannon
October 19th, 2022

A GSA MAS contract is a powerful business tool that allows access to several government agencies that, combined, are the largest purchaser of goods and services in the world. GSA sales reporting is an integral and regular part of the maintenance and compliance necessary to keep your GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) contract up to date. Monthly or quarterly, your company will have to report your sales and remit the Industrial Funding Fee (IFF) to the government through the Federal Acquisition Services Sales Reporting Portal (FAS SRP) to stay compliant. The thought of navigating GSA sales reporting may seem daunting, but we have the resources and guide you through the process. In this article, we will discuss what a GSA sale is, the requirements of a GSA sale, the Industrial Funding Fee, and how to complete your sales reporting.

By: Leslie Crowley
October 17th, 2022

If you are a vendor and looking to do business with the government, how do you get started? One way is to pay close attention to budding opportunities. When a Request for Information (RFI) is released, it’s an indication that the government is conducting market research. Selling through GSA Schedule BPAs and CTAs

By: Tyler Kittle
October 14th, 2022

The federal government is continually searching for ways to make the procurement process more efficient. One way this is accomplished is through GSA Schedule flexibilities. GSA offers several Schedule flexibilities that make it far more convenient for buyers and sellers to interact with one another. These flexibilities simplify the acquisition process, further streamline the ordering process, reduce administrative work, and potentially even expand business opportunities for sellers. These tools can be beneficial to both buyers and sellers when used appropriately to minimize repetitive efforts, reduce costs, and maximize profits and priorities. Examples of GSA Schedule flexibilities include Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) and Contractor Team Arrangements (CTAs), which offer distinct differences. In this blog, we’ll be covering what BPAs and CTAs are and how contractors can use them to their advantage.

What Are Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)?

By: Bradley Wyatt
October 12th, 2022

The federal government uses Simplified Acquisition Procedures, otherwise known as ‘SAP,' to help streamline the contracting process. In layman’s terms, SAPs emphasizes the “keep it simple” approach. SAPs are governed by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), specifically FAR Part 2 and Part 13, and aim to reduce the overall administrative burden and time of awarding procurements below a certain dollar threshold. SAPs are designed for the purchase of relatively simple supply or service requirements. If you find yourself curious about the FAR in large and want to know more, please feel free to check out our recent blog post titled Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 101.

Are You Missing Out On State and Local Contracting Opportunities?

By: Elizabeth Mordica
October 7th, 2022

Getting on the GSA Schedule is a great place to start selling to government entities, not only federal agencies, but also state and local entities. Many assume that the GSA Schedule is specific to federal buyers but in reality, the list of entities who can purchase via the GSA Schedule expands beyond that. GSA maintains a list of eligible entities that includes state and local agencies, educational institutions, and tribal governments. While your GSA Schedule invites access to many opportunities, many states have their own contracting vehicles and purchasing cooperatives that they prefer, and some are connected to the Multiple Award Schedule (MAS). In this blog, we'll explore different ways you can sell to state and local entities.

How Do I Renew My GSA Schedule?

By: Patrick Morgans
October 5th, 2022

When you first got your GSA Schedule, you probably learned that it could last for up to 20 years. The thing to keep in mind about this 20-year period though, is that it’s broken up into four periods of five years, consisting of a base period and then three option periods. While your GSA Schedule may last for up to two decades, GSA maintains the right to cancel or allow your GSA Schedule to expire at any time (although it doesn’t generally happen without cause). After this 20-year period is up, you can submit an offer for a new GSA Schedule using streamlined acquisition procedures. As such, proper maintenance of your GSA Schedule is crucial to ensuring a smooth GSA Schedule renewal process whether it's every 5 years or 20 years. So, here's what you need to know about renewing your GSA Schedule.
